About the Blog

If you know me IRL, monosodium glutamate (MSG) is nowhere to be found in my kitchen, making the MSG acronym ironic and punny 🤪 I really think laughter is a necessary ingredient in life so, of course, I had to have a little bit of that in the title.

But how did I land on money, sex and God?

There are many things I could and, in full transparency, should have chosen instead 🤷‍♀️

It goes back to college days when I signed up for the class “Money, Sex and Power.” I learned how people are inclined to live for these three gods.

But God. The real, true God. He changes the landscape in our lives 🙌 He gives us the ability to live with a different purpose and focus. He enables us to live generously and graciously, to proclaim His goodness and glory to others.

Money still plays a role in our lives, as we attempt to manage it appropriately. Whether we feel we have enough or too little, we are to priotize funds for His ministry and mission.

Sex is certainly the world’s priority, with sexual deviation being celebrated. Yet we are to be yielded servants of Christ. Our desires should be how to best serve the church, to break strongholds in the battlefield of prayer and to discover truths found in Scripture.

☝️ That is how Millennial MSG was named.

And, yes, I am a millennial – 1989 😎
